Her play Mother/Tongue was performed in 2009 as a staged reading in CPT’s Little Box series and recently stormed CPT’s 2011 Big Box
Mother/Tongue was performed by a strong ensemble cast, including some familiar faces from Little Box. Mother/Tongue, in its repressed and overt madness, examines what happens when we don’t see or discuss what is right in front of us, and when we fail those we love the most. With elements of drama, comedy, mystery, and tragedy, Mother/Tongue serves up a platter of isolation, communication, motherhood, food and love. Bon appétit!
